Much like the humorous monolouges of yore performed by Mark Twain, Colin Quinn uses the old world format of the one-man show to  take us on a magical journey through the whole of human history. The show is called "Long Story Short," and it is a 75 minute rant that includes Colin's philosophies on everything from elevator rides to dropping off people early just so you can talk about them to the rest of the people in the car.

Colin explains the most complex and nuanced events in our human history in such a way, that one cannot help but laugh at ourselves and our forefathers. "Long Story Short" opened in August 2010 at 45 Bleecker in the East Village and had a red carpet opening on Broadway in early November 2010. The original run date was to end January 8th, but has been extended through March 5th due to popular demand.

We caught the show last Friday night and it was more than hilarious. Colin was funny, sharp, insightful... In short; a lot smarter than I had ever given Colin Quinn credit for.

For example: Colin's thesis on warfare can be boiled down to: "tough guys vs. smart guys". As Colin proceeds to prove his theories, hilarity ensues. This show is a MUST see.
