"Originally formed in 2007 as a hardcore/groove metal project between a couple of guys that shared their love for excessive music, but soon wandered into the fields of death metal. With 3 releases under their belt as well as participating in a compilation from Grindethic Records. Gone Postal has been busy creating a legacy of their icelandic straight to the point misanthropic death metal, mixing it with all kinds of weird elements ranging from grindcore to black metal. Supporting bands like Entombed, Misery Index, Týr, Sólstafir & Sororicide. In late 2008 The band inked a deal with the icelandic record company Molestin Records that released their debut album called „In the Depths of Despair“ which sold out in only a few months. Gone Postal is currently looking for a suitable label to release their second album that will hopefully see the light of day in mid 2010."
