Nintendo's Gameboy® has been around for more than 20 years. I remember wasting hours playing Tetris in College. Sitting in the dorm TV room waiting for Monty Python's flying circus to come on during MTV's Sunday night lineup which included "The Young Ones" with Neil and Rick (who spelled his name with a silent "p"), I'd accomplish feats of spacial awareness combined with hand-eye coordination that mere mortals could rarely match.

The Gameboy was a staple on car trips, plane trips, short trips and long trips alike, there was the trusty Gameboy with its hours of clean, wholesome fun.

After reading an article on the the 3 or 8 or 10 greatest Gameboy Mods recently on Digg (not really sure how few, but it was sorta lame), I found myself wanting more Gameboy customizations.

It seems that the Gameboy has even survived the Gulf War (see battle damaged Gameboy below), been endorsed by the virgin Mary herself (cover shot) and comes in an array of Paris Fashions (see link to Custom Gameboys from Video Games Live in Paris below).

Not caring about those Mod'ers who simply chop up a computer and shove it into a Gameboy case, here are by far, the coolest Gameboy mods, iPhone/iPod hacks and/or Gameboy oddities in all of human history (to date).
