Hit and Run Suspect Surrenders

NYPD was finally able to make an arrest in the case of a hit and run accident that happened on February 21st in brooklyn, injuring a member of the Mayors office.  Frances Jasmin apparently had borrowed her sister(Cindy Jasmin)'s Acura Legend and fled the scene on the day that she struck Erinn Phelan(coordinator with Mayor Bloomberg's NYC Civic Corps) and her friend Alma Guerrero. Phelan is still in critical condition and considered brain dead for the time being. Guerrero was released not long after the accident. Jasmin was unable to be found by detectives because she was held up in New York-Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains for psychiatric treatment. Today(3/10/10) she was finally able to surrender to police, accompanied by her lawyer, she was questioned and later charged
