Ever wonder what goes into that Gin and Tonic your ordering?, I mean besides the Gin and Tonic. Do you even know what Tonic is? Q-Tonic is a company that is determined to bring back what was good about tonic water, and removing the bad, so as to leave you with a drink that is simple while offering complexity thru the simplicity, if that makes any sense. First, lets figure out what Tonic is, and where it went wrong.

A little history lesson from the Q-Tonic family, tells a wonderful tale of a Countess, the countess of Chinchon. Apparently she became extremely sick and her husband, the Spanish Viceroy in Peru, went seeking a cure for her thru the locals, who were the Incan Indians. The Incas gave him a potion, which included ground bark of the native Quinquina tree, and low and behold she was cured. Soon after, the bark was imported to Europe and used widely as a preventative and curing method for fighting malaria. Supposedly some British officers later decided to enhance this beverage by mixing it with what else?, soda, sugar and gin, thus the first Gin and Tonic.

Fast forward to our century, the 60's brought commercialization and science together and of course, cheaper and faster was thought to be a better way, and thus companies began manufacturing substitutes in labs for the original quinine. This brings us to now, where tonic has acquired a bad rep due to these impostor products that uses synthetics and crap like high fructose corn syrup.

Enter Q-Tonic. Some real connoisseurs have stepped up the game and put together a natural product that brings back the original taste of quinine. Q-Tonic uses only the finest hand picked quinine and marries this together with organic Agave and presto!, you get Q-Tonic. Q-tonic was originally conceived and prepared in Brooklyn and is now served and sold at fine health conscious establishments across the country. Next time you order a gin and tonic ask for a G and Q…Q-tonic that is!
