What a crappy day it is. The wind is blowing from 5 different directions and the rain is coming down so hard that it is coming up from the ground. I feel like Forrest Gump describing the rain in Vietnam. And, you know, this weather definitely dictates having something warm to sip on. and if you have the time, a cozy seat to scoot up in and relax with some facebooking, tweeting, etc...
Well, the coffee houses may sound appealing, but why not try something a bit different, today I did so in walking into Argo Tea at 949 Broadway in Madison Square Park. The place is quaint, comfortable and very 2010. Still with a very modern design, Argo Tea is well equipped to house numerous students, the public writers and even business folk who need some wi-fi and a break from the weather outside. The menu is, well, Tea, all sorts of grand fruity and herbaceous blends, along side a bevy of assorted pastries, treats and paninis. I ordered a large mint tea and a spinach pesto panini, my total was $7.49, not bad for Manhattan prices. The service was great, people were friendly, I give this place a big, Yes!  Try it out, there are a few around the city, it's a nice change from the five million StarSucks that are plaguing our streets!
