Modcloth.com, an online retailer of vintage inspired clothing and unique accessories and décor by independent designers, sprung from the wardrobe of a fashionable young lady named Susan. When Suzanne's closet began over-spilling with thrift store finds of all sizes, her then-beau (now husband) Eric designed the original Modcloth web site, and since its' first sale, a small project has grown into a flourishing business.

Modcloth.com offers some truly delicious eye candy. Jewelry like the Owl Eyes on Me Earrings is endearing, the Prepared for Precipitation Umbrellas will have you wish for rain and the retro Sharon Jumper (its angular cream lace-trimmed collar a sweet embellishment) will surely jump to the top of your shopping wish list. Every day, a new true vintage item also goes on sale!

Customers can look, shop and even interact on the Modcloth.com web site. The "Be the Buyer" section of the web site lets shoppers vote items onto the site, while those who are fans on Twitter and play "I Spy Thursday" have the opportunity to win a new accessory when they guess the close up image of a product. The latest contest on the site's blog is inspired by the Winter Olympics and has shoppers create a style board of Modcloth items on Kaboodle.com for the chance to win a gift certificate worth up to $150. It really IS all fun and games.

Finally, for those who wonder, the Modcloth cute mushroom logo is borrowed from mushroom kitchenware that Suzanne and Eric have collected over the years and is a personal touch to the couple's personable company.  Born out of love, it's oh-so-easy to fall for Modcloth.
