Summer in Brooklyn is sensational. It consists of long bicycle rides, shows (by just about any of your beloved musical performers), ice cream in the park and romantic rendezvous. Look adorable this summer while running about the borough and living and loving in the perfect ensemble by Lewis NYC

Making the transition from graphic designer for Style.com to fashion designer seems to have been effortless for Lewis NYC’s Alison Lewis. The transition simple hadto happen. As a teen who hunted for sundresses in thrift stores and then altered her finds and wore them obsessively, Lewis has caught up with her calling as a fashion designer

Pretty and feminine, Lewis pieces have the feeling of bygone eras. The Lewis Spring/Summer 2010 collection consists of the most charming vintage inspired frocks. A blue silk sundress is sprinkled with large blooms. Cute in the front, the dress has a sexy twist in the back, where a large cutout in fabric droops with ruffles. A green, floral sundress has an asymmetrical, ruffled sleeve. A cream dress dotted with tiny blossoms has a low-neckline decorated with small buttons. Wear it with worn-out sneakers or your favorite strappy heels. Beautiful layered blouses would pair well with that pair of high-waisted shorts (to which you’re attached at the hip).

Coney Island made the perfect backdrop for the Lewis Spring/Summer 2010 look- book shoot, based on Bruce Davidson’s 1959 Brooklyn Gang photo series. Take a look at LewisNyc.com.
