So, you may remember an article from a year or so ago, about BUSTIN Skateboard company, you can read the old article HERE. Well, I decided to stop by the shop, snap a few current photos and talk to the boys and girls there and see what was going on. When I showed up to their shop on Grand Ave in Willamsburg, Brooklyn, there was a grip of kids out in the streets, practicing their moves, pushing down the little slop of a hill and trying so hard to perfect their own "Power Slide".

Solomon "King" was around that day. He was getting ready to do a little pre celebrating for the nights race, the "Warriors" race which was going to be held with a starting point at 242 st. and headed all the way to Coney Island. I have heard the average skater "pushes" at about 16 miles per hour, which means they get to Coney in about 2 hours.

(FLYER FOR THE WARRIORS RACE)

The King assured me all was resting well at the shop, using the term loosely, because at BUSTIN, there really never is a rest, just a pause between "pushes". The Push Culture they are developing is bleeding over into every facet of NYC, good for you BUSTIN! Check them out if you are around!
