Justin August was born and raised in San Diego, California. Raised under the guise of surfing, music and some recreational marijuana usage, this worldly individual became entranced with the media and started a career in radio at 15. Working a small jazz station until after high school and then finally getting his first break on a local S.D. station at 19, it all seemed as though everything was set from there. However, this was also the same time that corporate mongrels Clear Channel had just become part of the new media axis of power and before he knew it, Justin was out of a job.

 

Still searching for some sort of entertainment driven career, Justin became the resident club DJ for a few club owners in L.A. and Miami. Almost ten years later, this wondering roamer found his way across the country and back yet again. Now residing in Brooklyn, barely scraping by but still determined to make a path of his own. Justin still enjoys DJ'ing parties, writing and having his fingers dabbling in just a bit of everything. He finds his time for the Grapevine as a release for the vivid opinions he is still formulating to make his own.
